Ludhiana, December 6, 2017: Sh.Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings, Ludhiana, in a statement condemned the increase of the charges for the lifting of the Effluent by JBR Technologies Pvt Ltd, Ludhiana.
He said that the industry is already in recession due to various factors and not in position to pay hike on the lifting of the effluent. Moreover, GST has been made applicable and units are already paying higher amount due to the GST on the amount of the lifted Effluent.
He further said that the cost of the various materials used for treating the effluent has been reduced due to the GST impact. He on behalf of the Chamber said that increase in the charges may be postponed till the further meeting with the concerned Authorities.
