Ludhiana, February 3, 2013: Ludhiana shuttler Pranaav Jerry Chopra has added another feather in his cap by winning ONGC All India Ranking Tournament in mixed doubles category at Bangalore.

Pranaav alongwith Maneesha defeated No. 1 ranking and India's top pair Arun Vishnu and Aparna Balan in gruelling three sets by 21-15, 18-21, 22-20. Maneesha and Praanav could hold their nerves in the last moment and won the finals. All credit goes to Maneesha as she is 17 yrs old and it is her first exposure in senior category. Praanav just started playing with new partner Maneesha since last month. Praanav and Maneesh are both trainees of Pullela Gopi Chand Academy. Arun Vishnu and Aparna Balan are the best and no1mixed doubles pair in India.

It was mixed luck for Pranaav as he alongwith Akshay Dewalkar lost to Olympian V. Diju and Alwin Francis in Finals of Men's Doubles by 21-10, 15-21, 10-21.

Praanav Jerry Chopra has started well in the year 2013 as he won men doubles title at All India Ranking Tournament in Hyderabad last week. This is his second title in last 10 days. Praanav is training very hard to get selected to play in prestigious All England Tournament later this year.

Praanav is thankful to his employers ONGC who are helping him in shaping his international career .They have helped him financially when he had knee injury last year and have also paid for his foreign tour.

Praanav also thanked Badminton Association of India who is standing behind all the international players and are spending enormous money on their training.
