Principals' Conference organised by Atam Pragas Social Welfare Council in SBS Campus

Ferozepur, January 20, 2016: One Day Principal’s Conference on the theme of “Role of academic institutions in the development of truthful human being” was organized in the campus of Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur here today. 

 

This Conference was organised by Atam Pargas Social Welfare Council, Ludhiana to give all the Principal’s of all prominent Private and Government Schools of Ferozepur, Faridkot and Fazilka Districts an opportunity to meet on a common platform. The council with active support of the prominent academic institutions had launched “Jeeveey Gurbani Naal Lehar” in 2009. Apart from the publication of playway books, a series of workshops have been organised for more than 15,000 teachers to inculcate traits of dedication and skill to groom their students as truthful human being.

 

Atam Pargas Social Welfare Council (APSWC), Ludhiana, organized a Principals Conference on ‘Role of academic institutions in the development of truthful human being’ at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur here on January 19.

 

More than 120 school Principal’s/Teachers from 70 different Schools of different Ferozepur, Faridkot and Fazilka district’s participated in this Conference organized with the support of ACHIEVER’s Society of ECE Department of Polytechnic Wing. Dr Varinderpal Singh, Chairman APSWC, Ludhiana talked about the teaching methodologies of Guru Nanak and inspired the Principal’s to develop their personality in the light of Gurbani; he encouraged the teachers to be proud about the rich heritage and motivated them to come up as efficient nation builders.

 

Dr. Varinderpal Singh, Chairman APSWC encouraged the teachers to accept their professional responsibility with passion. He cautioned the decline of moral values in the society and emphasized the need for adopting value based teaching methodologies. He also sensitized the importance of handling little minds with responsibility and sincerity. While giving examples from day to day life he urged the teachers to adopt practical approach to tailor the minds of the students to lead a purposeful life. To achieve this objective effectively, the Council exhibited the ‘Jeeveey  Gurbani Naal-Play way book series’ meant for students of 2nd to 9th standard.

 

The impact of these books on the development of the child’s psychology was also discussed. The teachers not only listened to Dr. Varinderpal Singh with great intent but also owned their responsibility to work with new courage and devotion in their respective schools with raised hands. They were also seen keen to introduce special video DVD released by Atam Pargas in their school syllabus.

 

Prof Gazal Preet Singh, Principal Polytechnic Wing, Mr. Prem Pal Singh Dhillon Chairman Baba Bidhi Chand Polytechnic College, Kulgarhi, Dr Satinder Singh Chairman AGREED Foundation, Mr Jaswinder Singh Sandhu, Prof Gurjeevan Singh HOD ECE (Poly Wing) and others appreciated the contribution of Atam Pargas to empower teaching community in the country and called all the teachers to support the initiative of Atam Pargas with commitment.

 

On the occasion, Principal Gazal Preet Singh, Convener of this Conference while proposing vote of thanks, appreciated this Conference as wonderful experience in his life. He thanked all the Principals attending this Conference. He also assured all kind of support to organize such Conferences at this Campus in future.
