PU all set for conducting Entrance Test on Sunday

Chandigarh, May 18, 2017: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh has issued certain important instructions for the candidates of B.A./B.Com. LL.B. (Hons) (5 Years Integrated Course) Entrance Test, which is to be held on May 21 at PU Campus.
As many as 4500 candidates will be appearing for 240 seats at PU Campus and 60 seats each in Ludhiana and Hoshiarpur regional Centres in the B.A./B.Com. LL.B. (Hons) (5 Years Integrated Course) Entrance Test. As many as 16 centres have been set up to conduct entrance examination.
PU authorities has reviewed the preparations for the B.A./B.Com. LL.B. (Hons) (5 Years Integrated Course) Entrance Test. PU Controller of Examinations, Prof.Parvinder Singh, Director Public Relations, Mrs. Renuka B Salwan, Prof A. Kaul, C.U.S and various Officers from security, examination branch participated in the meeting. PU Controller of Examinations has issued certain guidelines and directions for the smooth conduct of the examination.
PU has setup help desks at all the entry gates to guide the students to the examination centres. PU has also announced the traffic movement routes so that the candidates could enter from the designated gate and follow traffic guidelines. The exercise has been carried out to avoid any bottle neck traffic chaos in the PU Campus, COE, PU informed.
COE, PU informed that the students appearing for B.A./B.Com. LL.B. (Hons) (5 Years Integrated Course) Entrance Test shall follow the details as given below :
(i) The students appearing at examination centres Chandigarh 01 to 08 should enter the campus from the PU Gate No-1 opposite the PGI gate.
(ii) The students appearing at examination centres Chandigarh 09 to 13 should enter the campus from the PU Gate No-2 opposite Sector 15.
(iii) The students appearing at examination centres Chandigarh 14 and 16 should enter the campus from the PU Gate No-3 opposite Sector 25.
COE, PU informed that the students have been asked to reach their respective test centres at least 45 minutes before the start of the test. No candidate reporting 15 minutes after the start of the test would be allowed to sit for the test. The candidates must bring their admit card with them, otherwise they will not be allowed to enter the test centre.
The candidates must bring only black ball/gel pens with them for answering the questions. The use of calculators will not be allowed. No candidate would be allowed to leave the examination hall/room before the expiry of the time allowed for the
examination. The candidates are not permitted to carry any telecommunication equipment such as mobile phone, pager, wireless set, cordless phone etc. inside the examination hall. University is not responsible for loss of such equipment placed
outside the examination centre.
There will be negative marking i.e. 25 percent marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
For the convenience of the parents, Law Auditorium, Rajiv Gandhi College Bhawan and all departmental canteens will remain open.
No auto- rickshaw will be allowed beyond the PU entry gates. However, E-rickshaw will be made available free of cost to reach their respective centres.
