PU organised Lecture-cum-demonstration drill regarding fire safety

Chandigarh, June 27, 2017: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh organised three days lecture-cum-demonstration drill regarding Fire safety for Security Officers / staff in the Law Auditorium, PU.

Prof.Ashwani Koul, Chief of University Security, PU informed that a comprehensive Fire Safety document has been finalised and all necessary steps shall be taken to implement the same for all departments of PU. He further added that the fire safety drill would facilitate knowledge of fire safety measures to all present. A lecture on fire safety along with demonstration drill was given by the crew from Fire and Emergency Services of Municipal Corporation, U.T. Chandigarh. This was followed by interactive session in which lot of queries were addressed. PU will organize similar activities for other employees of the University also.

In the demonstration drill, fire hydrants system was used at Administrative Block.
