Chandigarh, September 30, 2014: Punjab Government has been constituted organizing committee of 5th Kabaddi World Cup for smooth conduct of mega sports event. 5th Kabaddi World Cup that is set to be played from December 6 to December 20, 2014.
Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister has been made the Chief Patron, while Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister would be the Chairman of the Organising Committee.
In a press communiqué released here today an official spokesman said that Balwinder Singh Bhunder, Member of Parliament and Sikander Singh Maluka, Rural Development and Panchayat Minister, Punjab would be the Senior Vice Chairmen and Bikram Singh Majithia, Revenue, Rehabilitation, Information & Public Relations Minister, Pawan Kumar Tinnu, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sports& Youth Services and MLA Pargat Singh have been made Vice Chairmen.
The spokesman further said that Punjab Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary Cultural Affairs, Principal Secretary, Information & Public Relations, Principal Secretary Industries & Commerce, Principal Secretary Finance, Financial Commissioner Taxation, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Principal Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister, Director General of Police, MD, PIDB, Secretary Sports & Youth Services, Manvesh Singh and Ajay Mahajan, both Special Principal Secretaries to Deputy Chief Minister and concerned Deputy Commissioners have been made the members of the organising committee. Puneet Chandhok would be the Co-ordinator and Director Sports, Punjab would be the organizing Secretary of the Organising Committee.
