PUNJAB to monitor redressal of grievances in each department

Chandigarh, February 18, 2013: The Punjab Government has activated its grievances redressal machinery and has asked all the departments to submit the monthly and quarterly reports regularly regarding the redressal of public grievances.

Disclosing this here, an official spokesperson said that in the written instructions to all the Departmental Heads and Deputy Commissioners, it has also been told to submit the cases of public grievances, which are pending since more than three months. He said that they have been instructed to furnish the proceedings of the cases, which were still being probed. The spokesperson further said that the final report in this regard should be submitted to the Grievances Redressal Department.
