Talwandi Sabo, October 3, 2013: Three-day Punjabi University zonal youth festival concluded at Malwa College in Bathinda. Students from all the zonal colleges competed for different events.
On the 1st day events the Guru Gobind Singh College of Education got 3rd Place in Folk orchestra. On the 2nd day events Harvinder Singh of GGS College added calours by snatching 1st position in the Debate Competition. In the poster making competition Amandeep Kaur of GGS College, Talwandi Sabo secured 22nd position
Prof. G.S. Gill, Director (Planning & Development) said apart from the winners 35 students of education college participated in lok geet, quiz, poem, skit and mime and the student with 1st & 2nd position will compete in the higher levels.
Dr. N.S Malhi, Vice Chancellor of Guru Kashi University congratulated Principal Dr AK Kansal and his staff and students for excellent performance in the Zonal youth festival. He also appreciated the efforts of Prof. Shingara Singh, being an activity-in-charge for the festival.
