Ferozepur, September 21, 2013: The Punjab Government under the new policy, the unauthroised colonies/plots holders have been a time upto October 7 to regularise the same by paying the fixed development charges. The concerned departments have been directed to disconnect the water and sewerage connections of those colonizer or plot holders who will not get it regularised by paying by development charges by the fixed date. Manjit Singh Narang, Deputy Commissioner said this in the meeting called to implement this policy which was attended by all the Executive Officers of Municipal Councils, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, GLADA and PSPCL.

Deputy Commissioner said, “Those who will not deposit the development charges by October 7, the same will be recovered on account of dues on government revenue, which includes attachment and auction of property”.

He further said, “Those who will deposit the development charges would be eligible for various benefits like drinking water, sewerage, roads and basic facilities in the approved colonies apart from availing the facility of loan and sale and purchase registration before the Sub-Registrar”.

Deputy Commissioner said, “Criminal cases will also be registered against the defaulters those who will not get their colonies/plots regularised by October 7, 2013”.

He appealed to all the colonizers and plot holders to get regularised the colonies and plots by October 7.  This policy is applicable to the unauthorised colonies plots carved or constructed before April 1, 2013.  For any further details, the website of PUDA – www.puda.gov.in could be consulted for the purpose.
