Chandigarh, November 25, 2013: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of retired IAS Officer JPS Puri, who was hospitalized after a road accident few days back at Chandigarh.
He was 76.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister described Puri as an able administrator and a fine human being with the qualities of head and heart, who had always discharged his duties with professional commitment and utmost dedication.
Sharing his heart felt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family, Badal prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give courage to the family in this hour of grief.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and Information & Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia also mourned the sad demise of JPS Puri.
