Chandigarh, March 28, 2015: Sikandar Singh Maluka, Rural Development and Panchayat Minister, Punjab, today issued directions to put the process of recruitment of 300 Panchayat Secretaries’ 30 Junior Engineers on fast track and called for completion of process in a time bound manner.
Reviewing the working of Rural Development and Panchayat Department Maluka said that Panchayat Secretaries were nodal officers of Rural Development and it was imperative to fill the vacancies at the earliest so to accelerate the process of rural development in the state. He said that Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has issued explicit directions that there should not be any let up in the development of rural areas and he asked the departments to work out a transparent process to complete the recruitment process at the earliest.
He asked the department to put the schedule for recruitment so that process could be initiated at the earliest.
