A gala Cake Mixing Event with Actress Pooja Kumar being by The Raintree Hotels.
Chennai, October 13, 2015: The Raintree Hotels, one of the renowned five star hotel groups in Chennai organized its annual ‘Cake Mixing Event’ at its property in Teynampet - The Raintree, Anna Salai on Monday. The Chief Guest Actress Pooja Kumar led the senior dignitaries and Chefs of The Raintree, St.Mary’s Road and Anna Salai in the traditional ceremony to mix a variety of ingredients for creating its Christmas cakes.
The age old ceremony which happens now is the perfect kick starter to the festive Christmas season. The gathering merely mixed dates, dry apricots, black current, honey raisins, whole almonds, cashew nuts, dry cherries, tutti frutti, dry fig, candid ginger, orange peel, lemon peel, prune and dry cranberries. The ingredients of the festive cake are mixed with rum, brandy and whisky for it to develop a unique aroma and flavor.
Mr. Suresh Antony – General Manager, The Raintree, Anna Salai said; “We are thoroughly proud to host the traditional cake mixing event, year after year. It has become the most awaited custom for the hotel to welcome the festive Christmas season as we celebrate the joy and happiness, together in this fun-filled event.”
