Ludhiana, June 18, 2017: This year 3rd International Yoga Day is being observed on 21st June - an initiative taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi 3 years back. To mark this day, a programme was organised by Ludhiana branch officials of Brahmakumaris Spiritual University, Mount Abu, here in Rose Garden near D.M.C under the mentorship of B.K Raj Didi ,B.K Saras Didi.
Inaugural ceremony was bestowed by Ludhiana Mayor Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria, B.K.Mridula, B.K.Pawan Batra, B.K.Happy, B.K.Gurpreet also shared the dias. Many social programs are organised time to time by this Spiritual University. A pioneer in offering many Graduates, Post Graduate - BSc, MSc , MBA, Diploma Courses in Value Education, this University is unique in itself in bringing personal, familial and social harmony through Rajyoga teachings. To strengthen mind and intellect is mandatory in this regard. Serving this purpose a special resource person BK Dr.Sachin has come here in Ludhiana for 4 day programme. This MBBS MD MED(INTERNAL M E D ) Rajyogi is associated with the organisation from last 13 years and has been serving H.O.D Medicine Dept. of BK Global hospital and research centre, Mount Abu, since 2010.
In the start of the 2 hours long program from 5:30 am to 7:30 am , bodily exercises and yogasanas as directed . more than 600 people of Ludhiana attended this program in the lap of nature.
Then DR. Sachin apprised the general public about the meaning and importance of yoga . He pronounced meaning of yoga - as the (re) union and discipline . Its the union of body to mind, mind to inttelect, intellect to soul and soul to the supreme soul. He told that Patanjali yoga comprises of 8 parts - yame, niyam,aasan, pranayam, pratyar(external), dharna, dhyan, smadhi (internal). Most popular aasan and pranayam are only 2 parts of yoga. Whereas, Rajyoga is complete and ultimate stage of yoga and answers the sutle purpose of yoga . For physical ailments aasnas and pranayam are good but Rajyoga Meditation gives solution to all intented difficulties. It makes us realise our realself which is calm, pure,peaceful,happy beautiful similar to The Supreme Soul.
