Jalandhar, November 5, 2015: The Sikh Regimental Centre will be organizing a recruitment rally under Unit Headquarters Quota for wards of Sons of Servicemen/Sons of Ex-Servicemen Sons of Widows/Sons of War Widows and Brothers of Servicemen for enrolment of Soldier General Duty, Soldier Tradesmen (Musician) and Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper category from 17 Nov 2015 to 18 Nov 2015 at The Sikh Regimental Centre Ramgarh Cantt (Jharkhand). No recruitment will be carried out for open category except Musician. All Sikh candidates except Mazbi, Ramdasia, SC and ST from any states/UT of India (only for relationship candidates) can appear for Soldier General Duty category. As regards screening for Soldier Tradesman category (Musician) relationship candidates from any states/UT of India (All India All Caste) and open category candidates with Musical skill for Soldier Tradesmen category (Musician) and screening for Soldier Clerks/Store Keeper category relationship candidates from any States/UT of India (AIAC) only for the wards of serving and Ex-Servicemen belonging to the Sikh Regiment will be carried out.
For Soldier General Duty, candidate should have passed class X with min 33% marks in each subject and 45% marks in aggregate. Candidates hailing from J&K except Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts should have passed simple 10th class. For Soldier Clerk/SKT Class 12thpass candidate with min 40% marks in each subject and 50% marks in aggregate will be considered. For Soldier Tradesmen (Musician) candidates should have passed simple class 10th. Test of one instrument of his choice,test of an instrument of Military Band/Piper & Drummer, Notation and Oral will be taken.
Candidate should be between 17 ½ - 21 years of age for Soldier General Duty category and 17 ½ to 23 years for Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper and Soldier Tradesmen category.
Candidates are required to bring their original certificates and latest 15 colour passport size photographs (In turban and without turban) attested on back side only.
