Jalandhar, November 9, 2015: 112 Infantry Battalion (TA) Dogra will organize a recruitment rally for Soldier General Duty and Clerk (Staff Duty) at Dogra Ground, Jalandhar Cantt wef 25 Nov 2015 to 30 Nov 2015 from 0600 hrs. Candidates hailing from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi and Chandigarh (UT) can take part in this Rally.
Candidates belonging to the state of Punjab will be screened on 25 Nov 2015, the candidates belonging to the states of Haryana, Delhi and Chandigarh will be screened on 26 Nov 2015 and candidates belonging to the states of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir will be screened on 27 Nov 2015.
Candidates should be between 18 to 42 yrs of age, weight not less than 50 Kgs, minimum chest measurement between 77 - 82 cms and height should not be less than 160 cms for enrolment in the Territorial Army. The candidates appearing as Soldiers General Duty should have passed matric examination with a minimum 45% marks in aggregate and 33 % in each subject. Candidates appearing for Clerk (Staff Duty) should be 10+2 Intermediate exam passed in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science with English) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and atleast 40% marks in each subject & should have proficiency in typing and operating a computer. Preference will be given to Good Shooters/Computer literate/Vehicle Mechanic and sportsmen/musician who have represented at National/State level and drivers of heavy vehicles with valid license for recruitment as soldiers (General Duty).
Territorial Army is a voluntary part time service where gainfully employed individuals are trained to perform military duties for two months in a year. Further employment/embodiment depends on the availability of vacancy.
