Red Ribbon Express: Attracting people at large

Ludhiana, December 18, 2012: The Red Ribbon Express that arrived at the railway station here yesterday is attracting a significant number of people, especially the youths from schools, colleges and other educational institutions.

The train will halt at the Ludhiana railway station till December 19. The schedule of Red Ribbon Express in Punjab is as under: Faridkot- December 20 and 21, Fazilka- December 22-24, Jalandhar City December 25-26, Hoshiarpur- December 27-28, Tarn Taran- December 29-30 and Verka (Amritsar) December 31 and January 1 next.

The timing of exhibition is from 9 am to 6 pm.

The train apprises visitors about AIDS through audio-visual clippings. A booklet is also made available there. It contains details about the disease.

On the very first day of the train’s halt in the city, about 200 people got themselves tested for HIV. Besides, about similar number of people were conselled on HIV.
