REMEMBRANCE: Internationally recognised Scientist Dr JS Yadav no more with us

Jalandhar, November 6, 2012: Dr JS Yadav, an Internationally recognised as scientist and environmentalist had made his mark on the world stage.

On the day of Diwali the 8th day of November,1942 Dr Yadav was born out of the wedlock from the  former Tehsildar, Nand Lal Yadav's (father) and Nihal Kaur (Mother) at his native village, Neerpur, Narnaul District headquarters of Mahendragarh (Haryana)

Dr Yadav, passed out Class X from Bhupindra High School, Narnaul, Faculty of Science from Government Post Graduate College, Narnaul ,M.sc (Honours) from D.A.V College, Jalandhar (Punjab) and did his Ph. D from Panjab University Chandigarh.

He remained Professor Head of the Department,  Zoology at Kurukshtra University. While continuing his research work, Dr Yadav got internationally recognised by his work on 'Koshikanuawanshiki' and completed six big projects in the field of Zoology.  

He remained as member of the University Grants Commission (UGC) for two months in the year 1982 and represented as chairman at the World Level conference, at Spain. He also remained president of various institutions and more than ten students did their Doctorate and as many as 160 M. Phil  under his guidance.

A Douch Scientist, in the light of Dr Yadav's research works, in the field of''Genetic Disorder' published research work, named as  'Dolje. asl Yadav'   and 'Hydrox-Yadvy'.

Dr Yadav was not only a scientist but a Journalist too as he was the founder editor of a magazine 'Matr Shodh Patrika Geevanti' (Hindi Magazine). He also remained as Dean of the Faculty of Zoology Science, at Kurukshtra University (Haryana), remained as Dean, Students Welfare at the Distance Education of the Kurukshtra University. Dr Yadav won three times Panjab University Senate Election and remained member of the Senate of the Panjab University from 1988 to 2000.

Apart from all this he remained member of   Subject Committee of the University Grants Commission. He remained in touch with various colleges administrative matters.

Dr Yadav was a known environmentalist, remained Vice President of the Daya Nand National Akadmi of  Environmental Sciences, Chandigarh. He also remained president of the Parivash Society For Environmental Awareness, Haryana and remained member of the National Working Group  of Genetic Disorder.

Dr Yadav was the only person known in the field of Bird science in Haryana. He was a social person. He led a deputation as leader of the 'Bhartiya Shanti Dal  to Germany. With the special efforts Dr Yadav could got constructed a 'Yadav Dharamshala' at Kurulshtra. He become vice President of the Harijan Sewak Sangh, Haryana, remained follower of Arya Samaj and took part in Hindi Andolan, Go Raksha (cow protection) Andolan. 

He also published over six books on various topics. Recently, his book  'Akalepan Ka Dar', was published. One of his book 'Vividha' in under publication.

Now it is clear that Dr Yadav (Dolji.as Yadav) was always a sweet spoken, generous friend of friends, Nationalist, helpful for people of all walks of life and poor and raised voice for the weaker sections of the society ultimately, bit adieu to this transient world on October 24, 2012.
