Ferozeur, December 6, 2012: The Central Vigilance Committee (CVC), New Delhi visited Feozepur under the leadership of S. C. Rawal, Secretary to review the benefits of central government schemes being extended under public distribution system by the departments of Food and Supplies, Food Corporation of India, Registrar Cooperative Societies and NIC.

In this meeting, ADC, Pritam Singh Johal, DFSC S. S. Mokha and other heads of concerned departments were present.

All the department heads apprised Rawal, in detail about the benefits of supply of kerosene oil, wheat, sugar, pulses etc. under the PDS.

On this occasion, Rawal listened to the problems being faced by the depot holders, NGOs and common men.  Depot holders demanded from the central government to cancel the cut on the supply of kerosene oil in the Punjab and increase the quota of ration.  They also demanded to increase their commission. 

In this meeting, committee members Mohidner Singh, Shanshak Singh Simaranjeet Kaur Chahal, Anupamjeet Kaur and others were present.
