ROBINHOOD OUTREACH BY GOLDEN ARROW DIVISION

In an effort to reach out to the needy and inculcate the quality of sharing amongst school children, the Golden Arrow Division has undertaken series of activities under it’s “Robinhood Outreach Program”. A novel initiative conceptualized and spear headed by Mrs Chanda Kundra, Chairperson, Golden Arrow Division, Family Welfare Organisation, it involved educating school children on the need to share and realize the joy of giving to the socially and economically deprived through volunteer collection by children and their distribution to needy organizations and children. The inspired, school children from Army Public School and Kendriya Vidyalayas of Ferozepur, sought voluntarily contribution from school children and their families of clothes, books, stationery, toys and distributed them to needy children. Items collected were also handed over to ‘Robinhood Army’ an NGO, that works towards rendering support to the deprived sections of our society on 17 Oct 17 at Ferozepur.

The event was attended by large number of Army personnel and their families. Interacting on the sidelines of the event Mrs Chanda Kundra said that it is our duty as citizens to groom our future generations to embrace social responsibilities and help the socially deprived through charity. The children too felt proud to be part of this initiative thereby living up to its slogan ‘Care for Joy’.

The “Robinhood outreach Program” is a sterling example of social commitment by the Army towards imbibing community service in our children, the future citizens of our nation.
