Scientists to brain storm rice disease management at PAU on August 9

Ludhiana, August 1: The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Department of Plant Pathology, under the aegis of Indian Society of Plant Pathologists (INSOPP) will hold a brain storming session on 'Recent developments in the management of rice diseases' on August 9. 

The event has been planned under the PAU Golden Jubilee Celebrations, said Dr. T.S.Thind, President of INSOPP adding that the programme would have technical sessions on detection of plant pathogens, biotechnology and plant diseases and integrated plant disease management, wherein delegates from different parts of the country would participate. 

The event would be inaugurated by the PAU Vice Chancellor, Dr. Baldev Singh Dhillon, said Dr. Thind. 

The deliberations would help work out strategies for the management of rice diseases, he said.
