Ferozepur, December 14, 2014: Ferozepur Police achieved a major success today and seized more than 20,000 liter country-made liquor from Village Nihang Jhugge Wala, alongside the banks of Sutlej, near Indo-Pak Border.
The village in past had gained an evil repute in past as most of the residents of the village were allegedly involved into illegal trade of brewing of liquor. Vibhor Sharma, DSP, Ferozepur City said that all the persons who were brewing the illicit liquor, jumped in Sutlej and managed to flee.
However, the police officials managed to seize two brewing distilleries, eight drums, more than 20,000 illicit liquor. The illicit liquor was later poured in the Sutlej.
