Seminar & Hockey Intramural at GKU to Observe Sports Day

Talwandi Sabo, September 1, 2014: On the birthday of Hockey Legend Major Dhyan Chand Dogra, Guru Kashi University organised a sports day & held a seminar.
International Hockey Player Harpreet Singh Grewal, presently working with Punjab & Sind Bank was the key note speaker in the seminar. Around 120 students of Physical Education and the whole faculty participated in this seminar. Olympian & Director Sports of GKU, Dr. Tarlok Singh Sandhu welcomed all the delegates and the audience.
Keynote Speaker Harpreet Singh Grewal shared various tips with the students regarding free time, practice time and the tournament tenure. He also suggested to the students to play with true sportsmanship spirit.
Dr. N.S.Malhi, Vice Chancellor of GKU praised the activity carried out by Physical Education College which is going to be very much fruitful for the students. He also lauded the efforts of routine Morning & Evening activity which is to be carried out daily in the GKU playground.
Managing Director, Sukhraj Singh Sidhu appreciated the efforts of Dr. Sandhu and his team to bring the theoretical soundness among the players along with the physical fitness. Registrar, Satish Goswami, delivered vote of thanks.
Apart from others, Dean Student Welfare Dr. D.R. Godara, EO H.R.Babbar, Satpal Singh, Surinder kaur Mahi, Sukhdeep Rani, Gurdeep Singh, K.P.S. Mahi & other staff & students were present during this seminar.
