Hyderabad, November 19, 2017: SIP Academy India organized The Regional Contest of All India Arithmetic Genius Inter-School Contest 2017 here in the city at Little Flower Junior College Auditorium in Uppal today. Y. Shailaja, Director of Tejashwi School was the Chief Guest and released the question paper and inaugurated the contest.

 

Maths can be taught much earlier than most parents think.  Arithmetic skills are very important for the future of the child.  Contests like this give lot of confidence to kids to face the world said, Shailaja

 

550 kids of class 2,3,4 who qualified in the previous two preliminary rounds from both the Telugu stated competed in this regional round. These kids were selected to participate in the regional round competing with 21000 children from 46 schools from across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.  7000 got selected in the second round from which these 550 got selected to compete in the regional.  The winners of the Regional Contest will go on to contest in Nationals which will be held in Hyderabad

 

Regional Contest is the 3rd level where 15 selected students from each school participated  in the exam which has 10 minutes duration with 100 sums.

 

Saket Mahapatra of Class two of DAV Safilguda; Nitish G of 3rd Standard from DAV Safilguda and B. Arvind of Class Four DAV Safilguda emerged as Champions in their respective categories.  These three are qualified to participate in the national. The Champions bagged Rs 10,000/- cash prize each and trophies.

 

The first two winners were given away 7,000/- and 5000/- cash prize and trophies.

 

 All finalists got a medal and special appreciation certificate.

 

Johnson Grammar School, LB Nagar adjudged as the Champion School and won Rs.15000/- Cash Prize + Rolling trophy. Awards were given away to Top 10 Schools of the State

 

The objective of the contest was to develop Arithmetic skill, one of the crucial skills for children’s future development. SIP Academy’s one of the focus is on improving the Arithmetic Skills in Children at a young age. The Contest generates competitive spirit and interest towards Arithmetic and Math’s in the long run. SIP All India Inter-School Arithmetic Genius Contest is being organized in 22 states across India. All the major schools are participating in the same.

The contest held in two rounds and is intended for all children studying in classes 2, 3 and 4 in around 22states . On the whole, It has 4 rounds 1st round is in schools where all children of class 2,3,4 have participated with 15 minutes of time 2nd round at all SIP Abacus Centre where 30%  top selected children wrote the exam with the duration of 10 minutes

 

3rd round Regional level where 15 students from each school participated in the exam which had 10 minutes duration with 100 sums.
