Seminar held on `Role of Entrepreneurship and employment generation’
Ludhiana, October 14, 2017: The creative, concerted and collective efforts of entrepreneur related departments and innovative scientists and academician can only ensure our sustainable and inclusive growth. This is required for reaping the benefit of our large youth power by employing their skill and energies in more humanistic and climatic sensitive development. These were the views expressed by Sh.Anil Rajimwale, General Secretary, All India Progressive Forum in a seminar held jointly with Small Scale Industrialists & Traders Association, Ludhiana “On the role of Entrepreneur in Society & Employment Generation”.
He further said that the hasty and unprepared step taken by government of demonetization and GST has severally cajoled the micro and small business of the country. The policy makers are busy in self image building and diverting social thought process on divisive and non-issue matter. The democratic values and critical media is pressurized through every type coercive and threatening method. He said the agriculture, agro based industries, small & micro entrepreneur must be facilitated to develop as these are the most important sectors to tackle sprawling unemployment.
Sh.Joginder Kumar, Chairman United Cycle & Parts Manufacturer Association gave an over view of the history of the development of industry in Ludhiana and present problems.
The scientist of eminent organisations have also contributed to the seminar by showcasing their innovative products which can be manufactured by small scale industry at a large scale.
M.Jagdish, and Japinder Singh from CSIR-CMERI, Senior Scientist Ranjit Singh from ICAR-CIPHET have especially presented the report on hand tools and small gadgets to be manufactured by small entrepreneurs through transfer of technology.
Senior Scientist Divya Kaushik and Kulwinder Singh from Punjab State Council of Science and Technology presented innovative technologies for pollution control and power saving. They also elaborated on the intellectual property right and patent act & law. Functional manager of District Industrial Centre Sukhminder Singh Rekhi presented the various government schemes to facilitate and support entrepreneurs and industrial cluster.
Representative of various industrial organizations like United Cycle & Parts Manufacturer Association, Small Scale Industry, Hosiery & Textile Industry and Young Professionals from C.A, CS and Law institutes have also actively contribute the seminar.
Jaswant Singh Virdi, Gurwant Singh, Ramesh Rattan, CS Love Kumar, Dr Glaxy Aulukh, Dr Rajinder Pal Aulukh, Dr Amar Singh Azad, Dr Balbir Singh, Darshan Singh, Mewa Singh Kular, Prof.Nipun Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Manpreet Singh Grewal, also presented the ground realty and elaborated upon the necessities to change economic and taxation policy of coercive approach for economic development which is effecting the business and employment adversely.
