STOP RELEASE OF `Sadda Haq’, demands Rashtriya Hindu Manch Punjab

Ludhiana, March 30, 2013: In a representation sent to the Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting (Independent Charge) Manish Tewari on Saturday, the Rashtriya Hindu Manch Punjab president Pawan Sharma has strongly demanded that `Sadda Haq’ - a Punjabi movie by OXL Films, should not be allowed to be released.

Sharma has warned that the forthcoming Punjabi movie was likely to create disturbances and law and order problem in Punjab, if released.

He pointed out that the movie was likely to promote feel of terrorism, as it exhibited characters of prominent terrorists of the then militancy era in Punjab. Besides, the movie was likely to revive wounds of the terrorist victim families.

He has demanded that Director of movie should be booked.

Sharma has warned that the Manch would strongly oppose if licence of the movie was not cancelled by Censor Board.

He said the Manch had always been opposing the terrorism in Punjab.

He pointed out that certain anti-national forces were trying to disturb peace in the state once again.

Sharma recalled that the terrorism could be controlled with the efforts made by the slain chief minister Punjab Beant Singh.

He said about 25,000 innocent people had lost their lives in the militancy era in the state. And people of Punjab were compelled to migrate to other states, he further recalled.

It may be mentioned here that the movie is going to be a sensational flick which will be depicting the real picture ofPunjab during the militancy days of 1980s and ‘90s.
