STUDENTS GIVE SPLENDID PERFORMANCE AT PAU YOUTH FEST

Ludhiana, November 4, 2016: The “Inter-College Youth Festival 2016-17” at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) entered second day with the poster making, debate, clay modeling and poetic recitation/haas rass events. The participating students from four constituent colleges of PAU demonstrated their innovative skills on the topic ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao,’ and ‘Skill India’ in poster making competition. They debated hotly on the topic, “In the opinion of the house, protests are must for fulfillment of demands.” They also displayed their thinking and creative skills on the topic ‘Struggle’ in clay modeling competition. Apart from this, students recited poetry on the topics ‘Desire,’ ‘Childhood’ and ‘Victory.’

The Chief Guest of the morning session, Dr Sandeep Kapur, Comptroller, PAU said, “Youth festivals provide a platform to the generation Y to unlock their hidden talent.”

The Chief Guest of the prize distribution ceremony, Dr Jaspal Singh, Chief Engineer, PAU lauded the splendid performance of the students in bevy of events. Later, he distributed the prizes to the winners.

Cartooning: 1) Gurpal Singh (Agriculture), 2) Ishwinder Kaur (Agricultural Engineering) and 3) Rivanchu Garg (Home Science)
