Students of Khaitan Public School explore Radio Industry skills

Ghaziabad: Taking students far from conventional classroom learning, Khaitan Public School, Ghaziabad organized a radio workshop for its students at the Salaam Namaste community radio station located in Noida. The Radio Broadcast Workshop provided a unique opportunity to the students to enhance and discover their vocal skills using professional broadcasting equipment like audio recorders. The radio workshop opened up a new technique of approaching the curriculum through a series of fun and professional knowledge. Students also created contents for radio program wherein they discovered an accurate format of writing radio scripts by the professional radio jockeys. The learners explored various journalistic and functional skills like presentation, speaking and listening, script writing, addressing an audience, research, Interviewing, teamwork, confidence building that sufficed the motive of their educational trip.
“Students demonstrated an entirely new learning experience as they got to know the technicalities of entertaining media. It was motivating for us to see the zeal among students to learn a segment that was new to them. Such students would definitely grab an endless array of opportunities in future as most of them are not confined to the classrooms and give in full efforts at all the possible platforms” said Geeta Varshneya, Education Director, Khaitan Public School.
