New Delhi/Jalandhar, October 29, 2013: The Special Judge for CBI Cases, Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) has convicted Sajin Fredreck and B Suresh in a fake passport case and sentenced them to undergo three years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs.10,000 each U/s 120 B, r/w 419, 420, 468, 471 IPC and Section 12 (1) (b) of Passport Act.
CBI had registered the case on the directions of Kerala High Court. It was alleged that Sajin Frederick in pursuance of criminal conspiracy with Suresh and others fraudulently & dishonestly submitted a passport application to the passport office at Thiruvananthapuraam in the name of Peter Antony and enclosed forged copies of ration card & extract of school admission register. The accused obtained a passport in a impersonated name as Peter Antony bearing no. E 3882091 dated 4.3.2003. Sh. Suresh, in pursuance of the conspiracy knew that Sajin Frederick was impersonating as Peter Antony by fraudulent means and had fabricated ration card & school admission register extract in the name of Peter Antony.
After thorough investigation, a chargesheet was filed. Prosecution has examined 29 witnesses and has marked 52 documents. The Trial Court at Thiruvananthapuram found both the accused guilty U/s 120 B, r/w 419, 420, 468, 471 IPC and section 12 (1) (b) of Passport Act & substantive offences thereof and convicted them. www.cityairnews.com
