Chandigarh, August 4, 2013: The Punjab Government, in order to equip the dairy farmers with the latest technology in the field and initiate various schemes to impart hi-tech training to them. The next batch of training would commence from August 26.
Disclosing this here today, Animal Husbandry Minister Punjab Gulzar Singh Ranike said that the training programmes would be initiated in dairy training centres Bija, Tarntarn, Phagwara, Chatamali, Gill, Sardulgarh, Abul Khurana and Verka. He said that for the selection of candidates interview session would be held on each training centre on August 16 at 11a.m.
The Minister said that the interested farmers between the age of 18 to 45 and possessing dairy farms not less than five milch animals may apply for the 45 days training. He said that the prospectus for the training could be get by paying Rs. 100 which is available at the office of Deputy Director/Dairy development officer of the respective district and at each training centre. The fee for general candidate is Rs. 3,500 and Rs. 3,000 for SC candiates. The fee would have to be deposited immediatly after the selection. The hostle facility would also be available .
