Chandigarh, May 22, 2014: Business houses all over the Globe carry out benevolent works to uplift economically backward classes. It is however, rare to see a small business taking on this Social responsibility. This has happened here in Chandigarh where students from underprivileged segments of society, are being given free vocational training by Tressed Up Academy,in association with Indola Professions. Chandigarh, which has emerged as a centre of training in education and other vocational fields had attracted Tressed Up Academy, in association with Indola Professions, last year. Accordingly an Academy was set up at SCO 45, NAC, Manimajra, Chandigarh. Within a short span of time, Mr. Mehboob Khan, Director, Tressed-Up Chain of Saloons, has taken the initiative towards social responsibility.
Punjabi Actress Gurleen Chopra and Chandigarh’s Ex Mayor Kamlesh were present at the announcement of this noble step, which was made in an event which saw participation of the beneficiary students.  The children who will be trained free of cost belong to GMSSS – Manimajra, Chandigarh.
The event also saw Tressed Up’s management throwing open its doors for admissions to its unique courses related to Hair Designing and Beauty. According to Mehboob Khan, Director, Tressed Up Saloons (Tricity), “We are offering Hair/Beauty/Make Up Combined Courses. Gel Polish + Nail Art is another course which is in demand. We have solo courses like Hair, Make Up and beauty too of different durations.  What’s more, there is an option of foreign training also after a Full course. The programmes will start from June 1.”
Says Heena Khan, CEO, Tressed Up Saloons, “We have launched our new programmes; through this social project. We are now training and grooming youngsters in this art. Hair dressing is a good career option for youngsters in this modern era. It is our endeavour to customize various types of training courses for aspirants.”
The Academy has roped in Sarvjeet Sharma, a Technical trainer & Company Support Trainer from renowned Hair & Skin brand Raaga. Sarvjeet is imparting knowhow to create master trainers in Skin beauty treatments at the Academy. He has an expertise in Facial strokes and 7 step facials. has some well qualified and expert teachers -- Madhu Gill will be the trainer for Nail Art & Extensions, Kuldeep Sandhu will be managing aspects like Facial treatments and skin, Rajat will be the in house expert for Hair Designing courses while Make Up courses will be taken by Rupali. The marketing is being taken care of by Amarjot Kaur. With a professional team in place, Tressed Up Academy in association with Indola Professions,promises to give practical exposure to trainees about the art of hair design & Beauty.
