Trials for selection in VX World Championships 2015 to be held

Chandigarh, July 12, 2015: Trials for Selection of players and officials to participate in VX World Championships 2015 , will be held at The British School, Sector 44, Chandigarh on 14th July 2015 at  5 PM. VX a sport originating from UK was previously known as Rock-it-ball.
This new sport was introduced in India in year 2013 and in Jan 2015 Mr. Paul M Hildreth Head Coach of England visited India and qualified the First Batch of 17 Indian Coaches during the 1st India Camp held at Indian Business School, Mohali from 16th to 21st Jan 2015.  VX India which has its headquarters in Chandigarh, has been given National Governing Body recognition by VX Global.
 The World Championships will be held in Yorkshire (England) from 14-16 Aug 2015 the Venue for the VX World Team Championships will be at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre, Rooley Avenue, Bradford, UK. The V2 Singles competition will take place at Harrogate Squash Club Hookstone Wood Road, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, UK and this will be held on 15th & 16 August 2015.
“10 Players in age 14-17 years in juniors, 10 players in 18+ in Seniors and 2 players in 40+ in Masters category will be selected to represent Indian Teams.” Informs Mr. Suman Shankar Tewari, CEO VX India. Adds Mr Tewari, "The basic concept of this game is that players have to use VStix to throw balls at opponents, points are scored if the ball hits the opponent.In VX, the V signifies 5 players on one side each and X points towards a game between 10 players a side each.”
Dr.Paul Michael Hildreth, Head Coach of England and Director of VX international and Thomas Gordon Leslie Hildreth, England Captain and Former World Champion in V2 ( Singles VX event) will be visiting Chandigarh at the end of the week to conduct a training camp for those selected in trials.
