TWO MORE ACCUSED in robbery case arrested

Ludhiana, February 2, 2013: Police have arrested two more accused in connection with daylight robbery of cash and valuables at the house of local industrialist Rajesh Jain in the Rishi Nagar Area here on Friday afternoon.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, the Ludhiana ADCP Nilambari Jagdale told that the arrested accused had been identified as Roshan Lal, a resident of Tibba Road, Santokh Nagar (Ludhiana) and Jasbir Kumar, a resident of New Subhash Nagar.

She further told that they had recovered cash and gold and diamond jewellery worth about Rs. 80 lakh from the three arrested accused. The two accused were arrested from the Subhash Nagar locality.

One accused Rajiv Jain was arrested yesterday after a few hours of the occurrence of the incident.

To a question, she told that they were verifying if Roshan Lal had any criminal record.

It may be recalled here that Rajiv was the main accused.

Rajiv was a relative of Rajesh. The former had been working in the factory of the latter about two years ago.

Rajiv was aware that Rajesh was a rich person, therefore, he alongwith his two accomplishes made a plan to commit robbery at the house of Rajesh.

The accused Roshan Lal, a resident of Tibba Road, Santokh Nagar (Ludhiana) and Jasbir Kumar, a resident of New Subhash Nagar in police custody on Saturday.
