Two prisoners attempt suicide

Ferozeur, October 1, 2012 : Two prisoners attempted suicide inside the Central Jail, Ferozepur, against whom a case has been registered at Ferozepur City police station under section 309 IPC on the written complaint of Ramandeep Singh Sandhu, Superintendent Jail.

Giving this information, Gurdeep Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) Ferozeur said, “In a written complaint from Superintendent Jail to the police, it has been stated that two jail inmates in the morning namely Mandeep Singh and Surinder Singh started suddenly hitting their heads with the iron gates and were badly injured.  The security staff on duty in the jail, however, managed to save them from committing suicide and were given immediate medical treatment”.

Ramandeep Singh, Superintendent Jailinformed that both the prisoners, who tried to commit suicide, are out of danger.  The police have registered a case against them and trying to enquire the cause of attempt to suicide by the prisoners.
