UCPMA opposes property tax

Ludhiana, August 29, 2012: At a meeting of the United Cycle and Parts Manufacturers Association (UCPMA) held here today, strong resentment was shown against property tax introduced by Punjab Cabinet.

The meeting held under the presidentship of the association president Gurmeet Singh Kular, it was observed that the   2% property tax on Industry will cost heavily on already depressed industry.

“By imposing heavy taxes and introducing e-TRIP system, it seems that the state government does not want to take care of industries and we wish to aware the government that economy of state will be ruined by introducing such taxes on industries specially MSME units”, said Kular.

Among others, Inderjit Singh Navyug, Senior Vice President, Pardeep Wadhawan, Secretary, Ajit Kumar, propaganda Secretary, Achhru Ram Gupta, Baljit Singh Lotey, Joint Secretary, K.K Seth , MD, M/s. Seth Industrial Corporation, Charanjit Singh Vishivkarma, Ravi Mahajan, Rajesh Bansal, Varinder Kapoor and other members of the association were present.
