Ludhiana, March 1, 2015: Aam Aadmi Party leader HS Phoolka reacting to the Union Budget for current fiscal (2015-16) has said it was expected that to reduce pollution and save environment and save petrol, the Central government would promote the cycle industry. But, nothing has been done in this regard.
In a statement here today, he added the long standing demand of reduction in excise duty and use anti-dumping laws has been totally ignored. It is unfortunate that the budget would adversely affect the industry of Punjab.
Further, he said no relief whatsoever has been given to the farmers. The land of farmers is being forcibly taken away. The procurement of wheat is reduced and no promotion of the farming sector.
“It is a most disappointing budget”, he remarked.
