Ludhiana, February 15, 2013: If members of the Valmiki Samaj Bachao Andolan implemented their threat, then it will be very embarrassing for the SAD-BJP combine candidate in the Moga by-election and even for the ruling alliance in Punjab.

According to Surinder Kalyan, Chairman, Valmiki Samaj Bachao Andolan, if the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (LMC) failed to stop A2Z from door-to-door collection of garbage across the city, then they would hold a protest against the ruling state government at Moga, where a by-election was scheduled for February 23.

Kalyan claimed that at a meeting between their members and the Chief Minister, Punjab Parkash Singh Badal on October 30 last, the state government had promised that it would not allow A2Z to carry out door-to-door collection of garbage.

He warned that if the LMC did not accede to their demand by February 18 then they would hold a protest against the state government at Moga.
