Two residential students of the school have been selected for World Cup under 17 team of India
Gurugram: Vedas International School, one of the iconic residential schools located at Sohna , Gurugram amidst the purest vicinity of nature. The school started with a philosophy of “Gurukul” from the Vedic scriptures and nurturing best of the talents in soccer from all across the country. With the vigorous training alongside discipline and strict diet and practice, two students namely Bhupender and Mohit Gehlot has been selected for World Cup under 17 team of India recently.
During this occasion, Mr. Sumit Tomar, Director of Vedas International School said, “We are extremely proud that within this short period of time, the school has provided world class infrastructural support and requisites for training to create such talents who will be representing the country in forthcoming World Cup. We believe in providing utmost strength to our students to showcase their talents and give them the support to nurture it with best of their ability.”
The school has a tie-up with Sudeva FC for providing the professional training in soccer to the students. This chosen lot has been trained under two international residential coaches and one Indian coach to support them. The training is supported by exercises in a properly equipped gym and to maintain the fitness and diet, qualified in-house physiotherapist and dietician completes a team to keep close check on their day to day activities. There are many more sporting as well as other curricular activities which are provided by the school to bring out the highest potential and talent from every sphere of activities. The school is also starting a one of its kind residential cricket academy for young cricketers of the future. Young talents in cricket will be selected from all across the country and will be provided with best training using latest techniques through renowned coaches in the school premises.
