Vigilance nabs GM Punjab Roadways in graft case

Chandigarh, August 27, 2014: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau today nabbed General Manager of  Punjab Roadways red handed while receiving bribe of Rs. 15,000.

Disclosing this here todady an official Spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that Sukhdeep Singh who was posted as General Manager, Punjab Roadways, Depot Moga was apprehanded on the complaint of Khush Karan Singh resident of Bathinda. In his complaint to the vigilance Bureau Khush Karan Singh alleged that GM was demanding bribe from him and his partneres for granting them the permission to run their bus under Moga Depot under Kilometer Scheme and to futhre extend the kilometer limit of the bus. He alleged that GM was demanding Rs. 20,000 bribe for this purpose.

Acting on the tip off,  a  Vigilance Team headed by Surinder Kumar, DSP raided office of the GM and caught him with bribe money.
