Women protest against inflation and corruption

Ferozepur, October 15, 2012:  On Sunday, the women of Basti Tankan Wali area, staged protest against the inflation and corruption especially the increase in the prices of cooking gas cylinders.

BJP councilor Asha Kalia, Kamal, Rekha, Shashi Kohli and others said, due to wrong policies of the centre government, the inflation has gone so high to make difficult to live of a common man.   They condemned the frequent increase in prices of diesel, petrol cooking gas and the common use commodities and pointed out that in the country, the poor is becoming poorer and rich as richer and the image of the country at the global level has been tarnished due to scams running into crores of rupees.

The women demanded that the rates of the common use items should be reduced and more job opportunities may be provided to the unemployed, to make both ends meet.
