WORLD CUP KABADDI-2012: 1st women Kabaddi match tomorrow

Doda (Sri Mukatsar Sahib)/ Chandigarh, December 4, 2012:  After the gala opening of the 3rd World Kabaddi Cup-2012 at Bathinda, the world cup has engulfed all the three main regions of the state i.e. Malwa, Doaba and Majha. Now, the Kabaddi cavalcade has reached historical place of the State Sri Mukatsar Sahib, match would be village Doda, where two times winner India would start it campaign for the title.

With the increase of the prize money, there is lot of enthusiasm among the women Kabaddi players. The Punjab Government has increased the prize money for the title of Women Kabaddi team from Rs.25 lakhs to Rs.51 lakhs. The number of Women Kabaddi team playing this competition, have also increased from 4 to 7. Tomorrow Doda would witness the commencement of Women Kabaddi campaign, when teams of Canada and Denmark would be up against each other. The women team from Malaysia is a new entrant in this World Kabaddi Cup, whereas Women Kabaddi teams of India, America, England and Turkmenistan were part of earlier edition of World Cup Kabaddi. 

In men’s edition, India would play its crucial and important match against England. India is the hot favourite for the title, but England has also shown its might after crushing Denmark. The first match of the day would be played between Afghanistan and Denmark. Denmark would play all out to open its account in this world cup. The team of Afghanistan did play the first edition of World Cup Kabaddi, but they missed the second edition and now in the 3rd edition of this World Cup Kabaddi, Afghanistan’s team is in upbeat mood.
