World Environment Day celebrated by the The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA)

Ludhiana, June 3, 2017: World Environment Day was celebrated by the The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) in association with Udan Media and Communications on Sunday at Ishmeet Singh Music Institute. It was attended by more than 150 architects, interior designers, builders, engineers, town planners, Lion Club members, Rotary Club Ludhiana Midtown Members and many more aware citizens from NGO's as well.

Mr. Rakesh Pandey MLA and former Minister Punjab Government was the Chief Guest. He was very happy that now Ludhianvis are more aware to make their city smart as soon as possible. He assured that not only himself but his Government will provide every possible guidance and help to improve the environment of not only Ludhiana but of whole Punjab.

Ar. Sanjay Goel, Chairman Indian Institute of Architects Punjab Chapter and Director Ludhiana Smart City Limited in his keynote address welcome the gathering and explained the importance of good environment in our life. He explained in detail about this year theme "Connecting People with Nature"

Architect's role is very important not only in Smart Cities but in all cities to make cities neat, clean and green may be better than neighborhood city of Chandigarh designed by leading French architect Le Corbusier.

Seminar was attended by office bearers, executive members and other members of IIA Ludhiana Center.

Rotarian Anil Aggarwal and Project Director Mr Aman Kapoor along with his team graced the event. Lions Club International District 321F was represented by District Governor Yogesh Soni and many more senior Lion members.
