Written examination for recruitment of master cadre held peacefully in 16 centres

Ludhiana, July 29, 2016: The written examination for recruitment into Master cadre of Education Department, Punjab, was held at 16 centres set up, here today. On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat, SDM (East) Mr Paramjit Singh and DEO (Senior Secondary) Mrs Paramjit Kaur Chahal visited the examination centres.
Both the officials informed that for recruitment into various posts of master cadre, examination centres were set up at Ludhiana and Sri Amritsar Sahib. In Ludhiana, a total of 5705 candidates were to appear for this examination, but as 963 were absent, only 4742 candidates appeared. The District Administration had made adequate security arrangements for all examination centres. Both the officers visited the centres set up at Bharat Nagar, Model Town, Jawahar Nagar, Cemetery Road, Civil Lines and others and found all arrangements satisfactory. Besides them, other senior officials of Education Department also visited these examination centres.
