YES BANK & DIKSHANT REGISTER EASY WINS IN LEAGUE MATCHES OF CSL SEASON II

Chandigarh, January 24, 2017: The second Edition of Corporate Super League (CSL-II) saw two league matches being played. The First Match was played between Yes bank & Central Bank. Batting first Yes Bank made 131 runs all out in 19.2 overs. Gaurav Jaswal was the highest scorer with 53 runs off 46 balls in which he hit three 4s & two 6s.Karan made 37 runs off 30 balls hittiing two 4s. In the bowling department of Central Bank Rahul was the highest wicket taker. In 2.2 overs bowled he took 4 wickets by giving 11 runs. Ajay took 2 wickets in 4 overs giving away 22 runs. Dinesh & Madan took one each.

In reply Central Bank could make only 90 runs by losing 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Vijay was the highest scorer by making 19 runs off 21 balls and hitting one 4.Ravinder made 14 runs off 16 balls & he hit two 4s.

Yes Bank bowlers did well. Sharan K took 3 wickets by giving 17 runs in 4 overs. Ankush took 2 wickets in his 4 over spell giving 16 runs. Sonu, Karan & & Vipan took one wicket each. Yes Bank thereby won by 41 runs. Yes Bank’s Gaurav Jaswal was adjudged Man of the Match.

In the other league match Dikshant Group of Schools played against Indus Towers. Indus Towers batting first made put up 117 runs by losing 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Deepak made a quick-fire 27 runs off 20 balls which included One 4 & three 6s. Akhil Malhotra made 22 runs off 29 ball hitting two 4s. Jitender Thakur made 21 runs in 26 balls by hitting one 4. In the bowling department of Dikshant , Navneet bowled 3 overs gave 19 runs & took 1 wicket. Pathan bowled 4 overs giving 24 runs & taking 2 wickets. Ravi Verma & Jatin also took 2 wickets each.

In response Dikshant Group of Schools easily made 119 runs by losing 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets. Ravi Verma made 44 runs off 26 balls hitting eight 4s & a 6. Yashdeep scored 20 runs off 15 deliveries hitting three 4s & a 6. Narinder Walia made 15 runs off 17 balls with two 4s.

In the Indus Towers bowling department Naresh Kumar in 3.4 overs gave 29 runs & took 3 wickets. Vishal Kumar in 2 overs gave 12 runs & took one wicket.

Ravi Verma of Dikshant was declared Man of the Match.
