Acting on the key insight that people often miss out on praying in today's fast-paced, action-packed lifestyles, Zee TV has unveiled a most unique 'virtual' temple on the Facebook page of its new mythological show Ramayan.

Packaged beautifully in rich maroon and golden hues, the temple is a re-creation of the Ram Durbar showcasing Lord Rama, Lakshman and Sita with
Lord Hanuman crouching by their side. Springing one delightful surprise after another at the online users, the temple has unique features that let them ring the bell, light a diya, play a choice of aartis, shower flowers and smear haldi kumkum on the deities, break a coconut and even rotate the aarti ki thali!
Online users can visit the virtual temple through a unique tab on

https://www.facebook.com/ZeeTVRamayan. In the hectic times we live in, the virtual temple holds the promise of a few moments of solace for busy professionals who do not enjoy the privilege of personally visiting a temple as a result of their packed schedules. The imagery, the colors and the music used have a calming effect and can easily transport a devotee to a harmonious, divine space from within the confines of their own cubicles at work. In times when the world is going digital, the idea of a temple in the
online space is refreshing for all netizens in India and even overseas.
The launch of the virtual Ram Mandir comes in the wake of the launch of Zee TV's new mythological series Ramayan which went on air this morning on Zee TV as well as Doordarshan. A timeless classic based on Tulsidas' Ramcharitmanas, Ramayan shows viewers a way of life. It is rich in the core values, ideals and principles that form the crux of Indian
culture and upbringing. Centuries after the original epic was first written, its relevance in contemporary times remains unquestioned. The jet-setting,
smartphone-toting denizens of the Twitter age can benefit immensely from applying its learning to their lives!
Offer a prayer at the all new virtual temple as you tune into Ramayan every Sunday at 11 AM to 12 noon, on Zee TV and Doordarshan.
