ZEE TV- Holi revelry on the sets of Jodha Akbar

Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma of Zee TV's ‘Jodha Akbar’ had the time of their life recently as they shot a very special ‘Holi’ sequence for the show! ‘Jodha Akbar’ is, today, amongst the top-rated shows on the channel and the two actors had the chance to celebrate its success with a splash of colours on the sets.
Over the last couple of days, the two actors have been shooting for a scene where Akbar has granted the entire kingdom permission to celebrate Holi at the request of his wife Jodha. The scene has been shot in parts over a span of 3-4 days wherein the actors have had a complete blast, smearing each other with gulaal and splashing their co-actors with pichkaaris. Infact, the colour smearing and the frolicking with water goes on long after the director has shouted 'Cut!'
"How can anyone complain about having to play Holi at the end of September??" says Paridhi with a grin. "As actors, we rarely get a chance to celebrate most festivals so when the rare occasion arises to celebrate it on screen, we make the most of it. It has been so much fun shooting for this sequence that the entire week has felt like one long celebration! The cast and crew have really got into the spirit of Holi and some  even made 'thandai'. We hope that viewers have as much fun watching it as we have had shooting it"
