Your favorite stars took home trophies at 'Vaseline Zee Rishtey Awards 2012'

With Zee TV completing 20 glorious years of entertaining India on October 2 this year, the channel brought its viewers a grand celebration at its annual awards show 'Zee Rishtey Awards'. The much awaited, star-spangled soiree raised a toast to 20 years of togetherness with the audience and thanked them for the channel's success. The awards, as per Zee's tradition, were of two categories - Popular and Jury. While five awards namely 'Favorite Jodi', 'Favorite Dharavahik', 'Popular Face - Male & Female' and 'Favorite Parivaar' were thrown open to public voting, the rest of the awards were arrived upon by a panel of eminent jury members.
While 'Pavitra Rishta' continued to rule the roost as the 'Favorite Dharavahik', it was Gurmeet Chaudhry and Kratika Sengar, the leads of ‘Punarvivaah’ who took home the coveted ‘Popular Face - Male' and 'Popular Face - Female' awards. ‘Punarvivaah’ also clinched the trophy for 'Favorite Parivaar' while Rithivik Dhanjani and Asha Negi who play Arjun-Purvi, the young love-birds of Pavitra Rishta were declared the new 'Favorite Jodi'. Their on-screen ma Ankita Lokhande walked away with ‘Favorite Personality of the Year’.  DID L'il Masters, the 'baap' of all reality shows, was the unanimous 'Favorite Reality Show'
The highlights of the evening included Sonu Nigam returning to Zee TV as a host after 15 years. The charming host who shot to fame as the anchor of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa was in his element as he conducted the ceremony. Breathtaking performances by all the leading ladies and the hunks of Zee TV had the audience going into a frenzy. The mid-air Mujra by Ankita Lokhande (Archana of Pavitra Rishta), Kratika Sengar (Aarti of Punarvivaah), Narayani Shastri (Phir Subah Hogi) and Vindhya Tiwari (the new Lovely of Mrs Kaushik ki Paanch Bahuein) and the 'Heroes' act featuring Nandish Sandhu (Aditya of Phir Subah Hogi), Gurmeet Chaudhry (Yash of Punarvivaah) and Rithvik Dhanjani (Arjun of Pavitra Rishta) representing the different elements of life were the most exciting acts of the show. The evening was attended the actors Navneet Nishan,  Seema Kapoor, Divya seth, Archana Puran Singh, Parmeet Sethi, Anurag Basu, Kunal Kohli, Shefali & Vipul Shah, Shagufta Ali, Ratan Rajout, Divyanka Tripathi, Iqbal Khan, Sharad Kelkar, Rohit Roy, Mansi Joshi, Gracy Singh, Kanwaljeet, Sadia Siddiqui, Karan V. Grover, Himmanshoo Malhotra and brother Mohit Malhotra who have been a part of Zee TV's journey over the last 20 years.
