Jalandhar, August 1, 2017: Innocent Hearts School, Loharan became a venue for the Zonal Cricket Tournament. The sports teams of different schools got registered.
The tournament was declared open by releasing multihued balloons by the Chief Guest- Sh.Harbinder Pal Singh (A.E.O.) and Guest of Honour- Sh.Jasdeep Singh – Zone Convener (Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa School) and Sh.Major Singh – Secretary Zone No. 3. In total, 18 schools got their teams registered. The toss was done in the presence of distinguished personalities where Cambridge School won the chance to choose and they selected to do fielding first but the weather conditions were not appropriate so the match washed out.
The Chief Guest – Sh.Harbinder Pal Singh and Guests of Honour were honoured by giving souvenirs by Dr.Anup Bowry - the secretary of Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, Mr.Dheeraj Banati- Director Principal and HOD Sports- Mr.Sanjeev.
Keeping in mind the weather conditions, dates for the next matches will be declared later.
