Mumbai, December 1, 2019: On the occasion of ‘World Aids Day’ Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital at Powai organised “Inter School Debate Competition" on topic ‘Ending the HIV/AIDS Epidemic – Community by Community’.
The two final participating Schools were Podar International School, Powai and Hiranandani Foundation School, Thane.
Speaking on this initiative Dr Sujit Chatterjee - Chief Executive of Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital said “We at Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital have been organising this event every year since 2004. Our focus is on the school going students of 9th & 10th standard, because if they become aware about and involved in the eradication process of this dreaded decease then these students not only become aware of the decease but also develop the right attitude towards the persons living with the decease. We take this initiative with the intention of fighting stigma and discrimination while promoting healthy lifestyles We feel delighted to have these students to the competition and we make sure their experience is enjoyable and worthwhile. On behalf of the hospital, I congratulate the winners and all other for their participants”.
Ms Debottama Lahiri – Student of Podar International School, Powai was declared as Winner and awarded with a trophy.
