‘X Ray – The Inner Image’: a psychological thriller (News Helpline Review Rating: 3.5)
Rajiv Ruia And Pradeep Sharma Hits A Hat-trick with X Ray – The Inner Image The dynamic director and producer duo of Rajiv S Ruia and Pradeep K Sharma has delivered massive hits like Direct Ishq, And Majhya Baikocha Priyakar – are back with a bang, a psychological thriller ‘X Ray – The Inner Image’. Rajiv S Ruia directorial ‘X Ray – The Inner Image’ starring Debutant Rahul Sharma and Yaashi Kapoor is a sublime dark psychological thriller made under the banner of Baba Motion Pictures Private Limited and produced by Pradeep K Sharma. The film revolves around a young urban working professional (Rahul Sharma) and a beautiful stranger Yaashi Kapoor, caught in a whirlwind of dark emotions and sensual fantasies, which gets better of the both. Rajiv S Ruia and Pradeep K Sharma have worked before on regional projects, this psychological thriller marks their first Hindi commercial outing, which opened with good reviews. The film is well made and tightly scripted, and offers an unadulterated exploration into human psyche. Given the premise and genre, the film will not only have a good run in cinemas, but will definitely find a niche on digital platform as well. Like a well made psychological thriller, the filmmaker builds the anticipation and thrill level, keeping the end as mysterious as possible and when finally the tale is laid out, audience will be begging for more. The director has done a remarkable job hoisting seven different cameras for each scene, which is something to look forward to. He specialized in blood and mirror breaking scenes, which are key elements for any psychological thriller. The only draw-back with the film is that it doesn’t justify certain scenes and elements, which feels they are just pushed in to connect the dots. There’s an item song in the film, which is quite good, but unnecessary. At times the entire purpose of violence and sexual tension is lost, as the newbie, despite their gallant efforts, miss the emotions completely. With the success of their current project, X Ray – The Inner Image, one could expect another hit as the duo is currently shooting for their fourth outing Jaako Raakhey Saaiyan. The film opened with impressive reviews today.
