“I LOVED Dharamsala after I watched it on TV screen”: Sohail Khan

Dharamsala, May 19, 2013: “I get in love with Dharamsala after I watched it on TV, and was finding the opportunity to play cricket here,” said Sohail Khan, owner of Mumbai Heroes Cricket team.

The team landed here on Sunday to play one exhibition match for charity against Indian parliamentarian team on Monday.

Talking to press Khan said, “We are plying the CCI T-20 tournament for the last 3 years and we are lucky that we got a chance to play cricket near the snow.” He said that when the match was planned he thought that MPs must be a team of old men, but they all are young and we have to work hard.

When asked if he plans to shoot a film here, he said that if MPs allow them to win he may. On this R P Rudi MP said in a lighter vain, “If this is the need, we may fix the match.” On this, everybody had a smile of their faces.

Aftab Shivdasani who was also a member of Mumbai Heroes said, “I am feeling proud that I shall play against Azharudin, my favorite cricketer in Dharamsala.” He said that he loves mountains and had shot a film entirely in Himachal. Aftab said, “We are looking for many more such matches.”

Azhar said,” I hit a century at Dharamsala against British MPs team, the stadium is among three most beautiful stadiums in the world. And I scored centuries in all.”

Rudi said that this match is organised by Constitutional Club of India, and he is the president of the same. He said that they are trying to make it an annual feature.

Ritesh Deshmukh and captain of Mumbai heroes Sunil Shetti shall arrive tomorrow at Dharamsala.

The T -20 match will start at 5 on Monday, and shall be live on DD, Loksabha and Rajya Sabha TV.
